There’s some land across the road from where I grew up that we used to hang out on, and even in high school I was like “dang, this would be a great place to build a cabin.”

Well, 20-something years later and I got to do it. Construction is just barely finished, but it’s already been such a great and peaceful spot to hang out. (And a crash course for me doing most of the interior/spatial design with some help from some true experts.)

Calling it the Duck Inn because my cousins hunt ducks on the lake, and I famously love a pun.

We’re planning to rent it out, since it seems a little sad to just have it sit there when we’re not in town. Watch this space or the Instagram for info on that.
